Saturday 3rd October 2015 saw the HER Breast Friends Breast Awareness Campaign Team descend on St Stephens in Hull. With our bra bunting hung and looking spectacular, our wonderful volunteers set up camp bursting with information about being breast aware and what we offer here at HER Brest Friends.
One of Hull’s iconic cream telephone boxes has become ‘pretty in pink’ as part of the tenth anniversary celebrations of a local charity.
The telephone box, located on Paragon Street in Hull City centre, will be turned pink for the month of October to mark the anniversary of HER Breast Friends which has been supporting breast cancer patients in Hull and the East Riding for the past decade.
October is also National Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the pink telephone box will symbolise the great work that HER Breast Friends has and is doing, not only with breast awareness, but through the various services they provide to local people affected by breast cancer.
