Saturday 3rd October 2015 saw the HER Breast Friends Breast Awareness Campaign Team descend on St Stephens in Hull. With our bra bunting hung and looking spectacular, our wonderful volunteers set up camp bursting with information about being breast aware and what we offer here at HER Brest Friends.
October is National Breast Cancer Awareness month and HER Breast Friends know just how important it is to know what the signs and symptoms are and knowing what is normal for YOU! Early detection is the key…….
Handing out free packs and welcoming any questions, comments and queries, it was a busy day for all our fabulous volunteers, getting the ‘be breast aware’ message out far and wide!
As always Ruth, Rebecca, Customer Service staff and Security staff at St Stephens supported us by putting up our bra bunting, wearing pink ties plus generally making sure we were looked after; thank you for always supporting us, as we really would struggle without it. Big shout outs go to Krispy Kreme Donuts who allowed us to display our banners around their shop and supplied us with refreshments throughout the day, whilst other shops in the centre were happy to hand out our information their customers too.
See you next year! #BBA
