David Meyler, the Hull City Tigers Midfielder raised an magnificent £2,500 playing @EASPORTSFIFA, which he then donated to HER Breast Friends. Charity Manager, Jayne Beck and Vice Chair, Pam Trays were invited to the Hull City training ground in Cottingham on Tuesday 8th March 2017, to meet David and receive a cheque for his fabulous donation.
David was playing FIFA online when people started to sponsor him. Not wanting to keep the money for himself, he decided to donate it all to the local breast cancer charity. David’s Mum was diagnosed with breast cancer a couple of years ago, so it seemed fitting that the money should go towards helping local people affected with the disease. Thankfully, David’s Mum is now doing well!
Not only did David donate the £2500, but he was happy to sign shirts and also donated two pairs of his football boots, again signed, to help raise more funds for the Charity at events to be held later in 2017.
Thank you David for your very kind and generous donations, they really will help HER Breast Friends to continue to support local people affected by breast cancer!
