Fitmums Cycle Squad do ‘Tour de Yorkshire’ for HER Breast Friends
This year the Cottingham Fitmums Cycle Squad are raising money for an amazing local charity Her Breast Friends, something which is close to all their cycle squad members and crews hearts, as their very own support squad leader Katy Featherston was diagnosed with the disease last year and has since accessed the support and services offered by the Charity.
Starting on July 7th 2017, their third cycle squad challenge sees them taking on their very own ‘Tour de Yorkshire’ – A route totalling 236 miles over three days.
Fitmums Cycle Squad start a training ride.
Day one sees the squad setting off from Cottigham, nr Hull and crossing over to Sheffield, with their support squad van not far behind them. An epic day two follows with a whopping 94 miles including climbs of over 5560 feet and arriving in York before the final days ride of 65 miles which will bring them back to where they started in Cottingham, for a well deserved celebration.
All riders have been training extremely hard for several months in preparation for this challenge and all at HER Breast Friends thank them and wish them the very best of luck!
Please get behind them and help Fitmums Cycle Squad raise as much money as possible for HER Breast Friends.
