HER Breast Friends – A Year in the Life of COVID-19

A year ago today,  HER Breast Friends had to close its doors due to COVID-19…  at the time we thought we would be ‘back to normal’ within 6 months – how wrong we were! 

The Charity has continued to support members, volunteers, supporters and local people throughout this time.  We quickly adapted what, and how we offered our services, finding different and safe ways to continue to support people, as dictated by lockdown restrictions, social distancing and the difficult situation we all faced.  

So, a year on and the Charity stands tall and proud of all that it has achieved over the last 12 months.                        

Chair, Pam Trays sends this message:

I cannot believe the overwhelming support of our members and supporters for the Charity and those who have needed us over this last year.  When everyone is in a state of uncertainty, some having lost loved ones, the coming together to support those going through breast cancer or other issues, has been so positive and heart warming.  Everything that HER Breast Friends is about.

We are seeing a light at the end of a very long tunnel and although not quite there, New Beginnings are on the horizon!
