Hull & East Riding (HER) Breast Friends presented a cheque for £2,000 to ‘Clarity’ – the Hull and East Yorkshire Appeal for Tomosynthesis – a three-dimensional scanner which enables testing procedures to show ‘slices’ of tissue and obtain a very detailed picture of any areas of concern. Clarity is a new appeal which aims to raise £80,000 towards the cost of installing Tomosynethesis facilities at Castle Hill Hospital in Cottingham to improve diagnosis of breast cancer throughout Hull and the East Riding.
HER Breast Friends Vice Chair, Pam Trays; Charity Support Co-ordinator, Jayne Beck and Charity Volunteers Hilary Spencer and Annmarie Bennett attended the launch of the appeal at the Tapasya Restaurant and Bar in Beverley Road, Hull on Thursday 7th May 2015.
