Hull Sport at The University of Hull have pledged to raise awareness and funds in honour of their friend and colleague, Karen Williams who is currently receiving chemotherapy treatment for breast cancer. Karen’s story, told in her own words, can be seen here.
Hull Sport decided the best way they could support Karen, would be to spread the awareness message. The team decided they would host a number of challenges throughout 2021, COVID permitting, to not only raise awareness but to also raise much needed funds for local breast cancer charity HER Breast Friends, who provide services, support, activities and information to local people affected by breast cancer.
So….On Friday 29th January 2021, Hull Sport kick start their endeavors with their 1st event:
‘Wear it PINK for breast cancer day’ and ‘265 mile Edinburgh to Hull’ challenge.
