Le Tour de France Charity Quiz Night – 25th November 2016

Gavin Feldt and 5 of his friends are setting out to do an amazing challenge in 2017 – 400 miles in 4 days for 4 charities – with HER Breast Friends being one of those chosen charities.

On May 3,  they will set off from London, cycling the 400 miles to Bruges.  The route will take them through London, South Downs, Newhaven, Dieppe, Paris, Arras finishing in Bruges 4 days later.

Gavin said “I have done something for charity every year since 2008 after I lost a close friend.  The loss of my friend triggered something inside of me and since then I have tried to help those less fortunate than myself.   2017 will be my final year and I want to go out with a bit of a bang!”

What makes this challenge extra special is that once the 6 riders have set off,  they will be totally unsupported – no van, no back up – nothing except each other!.  Each of the 6 riders are paying their own way in terms of ferries, hotels etc,  so ALL sponsor money and donations raised will go to the 4 charities.

The 4 charities have local connections and so help local people.  Gavin is also trying to secure sponsorship from local companies in support of their challenge.

Gavin and his friends are also organising other fundraising events in support of the 4 charities.  The first being a quiz night on Friday 25th November 2016 at The Sailmakers Arms, High Street Hull, at 7:30pm – tickets are £6 per person.
