Oops Unique Did It Again!!!

Unique Salons based in Beverley, Cottingham and Hessle once again held their annual Big Wig Weekend in aid of local breast cancer charity HER Breast Friends, for the 2^nd year running and raised an AMAZING £3777.94!

On Saturday 11^th August 2018 each salon dressed up in big wigs and held a bake sale of delicious cupcakes along with fabulous raffles and games before donning their walking gear on Sunday 12^th August to take on the 10k Brantingham Dales walk.

Over 40 stylists and members of the Unique team met at The Triton Inn prior to setting off on their challenge, at 11:30am on a chilly and damp Sunday 12^th August.

Unique Managing Director Allan Smith said “Each year the three Unique salons host a charity day in memory of Caroline Abuelo, a Director from our Hessle salon, who sadly passed away in 2009 from breast cancer.   This year we decide we wanted to support the local breast cancer charity – HER Breast Friends once again. The weekend is always held near Caroline’s birthday in August and is aimed at raising as many funds as possible for our chosen charity.  We chose this charity, not only as it’s close to our hearts and local, but because of the fantastic work they do and we believe that it should be shouted about by everyone.”

Unique Events Director Danny Smith said “The weekend serves two purposes;  Not only does it raise much needed funds, through sponsorship of the challenge, and awareness of the Charity we are supporting but also provides an excellent team building opportunity for our stylists and staff”

After their epic walk,  they all enjoyed a well earned celebratory drink and BBQ at The Triton Inn

Unique Salons also provide a wig trimming service, free of charge, to all clients of the HER Breast Friends Wig Bank. This is by appointment only.
