In 2017 the HER Breast Friends Bra Service underwent a major refurbishment. Occupying its’ new private, dedicated and comfortable room, the Bra Service now offers so much more, including a measuring and fitting service.
We operate an appointment system so we can ensure you will get the best care and support within a private and comfortable environment.
The Bra Service is open Monday to Friday from 10am to 3pm.
Amoena Bras & Swimwear
2018 saw the Charity team up with Amoena and now provides a range of new mastectomy bras and swimsuits at affordable prices. Amoena bras and swimsuits are pocketed at both sides and can be worn with or without prostheses.

Our dedicated team of Bra Volunteers are trained and provide the best possible service with individual attention to each client.
Donated Bras
The Charity also has a stock of donated new bras for the ‘settling down’ period and can offer that much needed support after surgery. This stock is limited and we cannot guarantee we will hold your size and the bras may only be partially pocketed; however, you are free to try on anything we do have. If you find something suitable, all we ask is for a donation, where possible.
Knitted & Aqua Boobies
A soft, hygienic, lightweight alternative to the traditional prosthesis, which can be used immediately after surgery.
Made with love and understanding by HER Breast Friends volunteers, these are available for FREE to anyone wishing to try them.
Love swimming? Then our Aqua Boobies are for you… Similar basis to our Knitted Boobies but filed with a water resistant filling which allows the water to pass through without dragging, whilst you swim.
