On Sunday 3rd and Monday 4th May 2015, Hull & East Riding Breast Friends, the iconic Skidby Windmill and East Riding Council have teamed together to bring a unique breast awareness message and family day to the region.
The historic 194 year old working mill will have hundreds of PINK bras around the sails as part of the HER Breast Friends Breast Awareness Campaign. Being breast aware is not just for the month of October and the amazing sight of the bras will hopefully be a reminder to everyone of this.
This will also be a fun day for all the family with an amazing raffle with prizes kindly donated by various local companies, soft play and bouncy castle, guess the name of the mouse as well as the opportunity to explore this beautiful working mill* and grounds.
Also featured is the Charities Arts for Awareness exhibition. As part of the our 10th Anniversary celebrations a competition was opened to amateur artists who have been affected by breast cancer. The response has provided some fantastic entries in various categories, the winners of which will be decided by public vote.
A Bank Holiday event not to be missed! 10am – 4pm each day.
Entry to the Courtyard and Arts for Awareness exhibition is FREE
